This Easy-To-Make Grilled Pizza Recipe Will Be a Perfect Snack For Family Bonding
This grilled pizza recipe is healthy and delicious. It applies to be an excellent comfort food for the whole family to munch on. Ready to make one? Here we go!
Ingredients
For the Dough
- 1 cup of Warm Water
- 1 tbsp of Sugar
- 1 tbsp of Iodized Salt
- 1/2 oz of Dry Active Yeast
- 1 & 1/2 cups of Bread Flour
For the Balsamic Reduction
- 1 cup of Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 tbsp of Brown Sugar
For the Toppings
- Basil Leaves, fresh
- Ricotta Cheese
- Goat Cheese
- Dry Parmesan
- Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- Vine Ripe Tomato, sliced
- Spinach, fresh
Procedure
1. Make dough
1.a Mix the first 4 dough ingredients
Combine the warm water, sugar, olive oil, salt and yeast in a mixing bowl. Stir the mixture with a spoon for about 2 minutes and then let it rest for 10 minutes.
1.b Add bread flour
Gradually add in bread flour and mix.
1.c Mix until sticky
Fold in the flour for about 5 to 7 minutes and add some more until you get that sticky consistency.
1.d Move, cover, and set aside
Get another bowl, grease it with olive oil and then transfer your sticky dough and cover it with oil. Put a plastic over and set aside for 20 minutes to allow the dough to rise.
2. Prepare balsamic reduction
Weaken your balsamic vinegar by heating it with brown sugar in a pan. Bring it to boil at medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes with constant stirring. Remove pan immediately when done.
3. Prepare dough
3.a Knead with flour
Sprinkle flour over your work surface before dropping the dough. Shower your dough with more flour and start kneading with a push and pull motion until the dough is firm and ready.
3.b Divide dough equally
Slice your dough into two parts by using a sharp knife.
3.c Roll out dough
Roll out your dough with a rolling pin until it becomes 1/4 inch in thickness.
4. Grill dough
Carefully transfer your flattened flour mixture to a grill. Grill dough for 2 minutes on each side at medium to high heat.
5. Drizzle oil and seasonings
Drizzle with olive oil and then sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add toppings
6.a Arrange first layer
Place toppings in the following order: torn basil, shredded mozzarella, parmesan blend, and sliced tomato.
6.b Then second layer
Followed with some fresh spinach, chunks of fresh ricotta and goat cheese.
7. Bake and serve
Bake at about 400 ºF for 7 minutes. When cooked, top with parsley and drizzle with balsamic reduction mixture before serving. Happy eating! 🙂
