Learn This Breezy Recipe on How to Make These Scrumptious Fruit and Cream Cheese Breakfast Pastries to Start Your Day Right

When you are a working mom, you get to learn some tricks to maximize your time with your job without sacrificing your mom duties. And so to have that, I learned a 10-minute make-up routine and plan my work outfit for the rest of the week on a Sunday. This way, I can easily rush to work after I finish preparing breakfast.

But there are certain mornings when I just crave to have something light and sweet on the breakfast table to munch on. Something fast but still yummy. And who do I call for help when I’m out of ideas? My mom of course. 🙂 She is the queen of breakfast dishes and she suggested fruit and cream cheese breakfast pastries. So here I am with this recipe.

Enough talk, let’s get get down to business. 🙂

Ingredients

  • 160 g or 6 oz of Cream Cheese
  • 2 tbsp of White Sugar
  • 2 tsp of Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
  • Puff Pastry
  • Berries or any Fruit of Choice
  • Egg Wash
  • Extra Sugar as Sprinkles

Tips

  • You can use fruits that are either fresh or frozen. The result will still be as sweet and juicy.
  • To make the perfect egg wash, whip together one egg and one tbsp of water.
  • Colorful sugar sprinkles will also work, most especially with the kids.

Procedure

1. Mix and blend

Combine into mixing bowl your cream cheese, white sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract really well.

2. Cut out puff pastry

First, cut a bigger circle on your puff pastry. And then just slightly shape out or imprint the second smaller circle inside the bigger round cut.

3. Spread mixture

Just spread the cream cheese mixture over the cut out puff pastry in a circular motion.
