Summer Desserts | How To Make These 5 Quick and Easy Frozen Treats

Melt Your Kids’ Heart With These Five Flavorful Popsicle

Summer fun for kids includes endless supplies of popsicles in your fridge. If your kids love to snack ice pops after their afternoon siesta, then you better stock up your freezer with these frozen goodies.

What is good with popsicle or ice pop is that it is easy to make. Some flavors can be prepared in less than 5 minutes.

I personally like to serve these frozen treats to my kids (and sometimes their playmates who usually come to the house in the afternoon) because these are not only delicious but also healthy snacks.

Just like these best summer recipes I got from Gemma Stafford, I also use real fruits and avoid artificial flavors.

So, let’s not delay and let’s check these 5 quick and easy frozen treats.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Blender/ Food Processor

Using your blender, puree mango chunks until smooth, then set aside.

Step 2. Puree Strawberry

Follow step 1, make sure the strawberries are already smooth before setting aside.

Step 3. Fill the Molds

Divide the mold into 3 parts, fill ⅓ way with mango puree, followed with another ⅓ of Strawberry puree, then another mango puree.

TIP:  You can interchange the pattern.

Step 4. Freeze the Popsicle

Cover mold, add the sticks, then freeze the popsicle for about 5 hours or overnight.

Frozen Treat #2. Creamsicle

1 1 /2 cups (12oz/ 360g) greek yogurt
4 tablespoons sugar (honey, agave or stevia)

Step 1. Mix the Ingredients

Mix the first 4 ingredients together in a bowl.

Step 3. Freeze the Popsicle

4 oz (120g) chopped semi-sweet chocolate
3/4 cup (6floz/180g) heavy cream

lime zest (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1. Add Fruit Selection

Zest the lime into your lemonade. This is optional but I think you should try it because it tastes amazing and fresh.

Step 4. Freeze the Popsicle

Frozen Treat #5- Rainbow Popsicles

INGREDIENTS:

2 kiwis
10 large strawberry halves
1 mango, roughly chopped
30 blueberries, roughly

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1. Puree the Fruits

Working with one fruit at a time, puree in a small food processor.
Tip: Rinse the machine out between fruits.

Step 2. Fill the Molds

In filling the molds, spoon carefully the fruits layer by layer.
Tip: You can also freeze this popsicle layer by layer, if you want a perfect line.

Step 3. Freeze the Popsicle

Cover mold, add the sticks, then freeze the popsicle for about 5 hours or overnight.

NOTES
The fruit amounts are only approximate. If you have bigger molds, you probably need more, and less if otherwise. Another option is to add a little water or yogurt to stretch the amount of your fruit.

TIP: Run the molds under warm water to loosen up the popsicles.
