Oreo Cookies No-Bake Cream Bars, The Best Rewards to Your Little Ones’ Winnings
A bag of Oreo will never last a week when placed inside our freezer. So what I usually do when I decide to make recipes out of Oreo cookies is to keep my stash well hidden. That way, I can let them taste these cookies in the form of another dessert dish.
But this time, I have other plans with this major sweet delight. Tonight, after a hearty dinner, I am planning on having a High-Low game with the family. The mechanics are, we get to say all our lows and highs. The one with the most highs wins 3 Oreo cream bars (the losers get 2 still!). It’s fun! You should give it a try. But first, let’s prepare the prizes.
Ingredients
- 42 pcs of Oreo Cookies
- 1/4 cup of Unsalted Butter, soft or melted
- 8 oz of White Chocolate, chopped
- 6 oz of Cream Cheese, at room temperature
- 4 oz of Dark Chocolate, melted
Equipment
- Food Processor
- 9-inch Square Baking Pan, lined with parchment paper
- 2 Big Bowls
- Spatula
- Knife
- Bread Knife
Procedure
1. Mix Oreo cookies and butter
Separate 24 cookies and place them in the food processor with the butter. Blend and gradually add 1 tbsp of water to help soften the mixture.
2. Flatten and chill
When the mixture’s appearance turns into soft sand, pat them flat in the pan. Let it chill in the freezer for about 10 to 20 minutes. This will serve as the crust.
3. Melt white chocolate
Melt your white chocolates by heating it over a double boiler or in a microwave for about 15 seconds. Stir and heat again until it turns liquid.
4. Beat cream cheese and white chocolate
Beat the cream cheese in a big bowl and add in the white chocolate from time to time until they are well combined.
5. Chop and fold
Chop 12 Oreo cookies with a knife on a chopping board.
Then fold it in the white mixture to complete the filling.
6. Spread over crust
Spread the filling evenly over the previously refrigerated crust with a bread knife.
7. Sprinkle and chill again
Chop the remaining 6 Oreos and sprinkle them over the filling. Chill for 2 hours until firm.
8. Remove and drizzle
Remove it from the pan by holding the sides of the parchment paper and lifting it up from the pan. Drizzle the melted dark chocolate over it to help balance its sweetness.
9. Slice and serve
Slice it into small bars and then serve.
