Grilled Steak Recipe: Cooking Healthy Chicken Steak at Home
The easiest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach — is what my mother would say back in the days when I was her kitchen assistant. 🙂 And how true it was! When my relationship with my husband was still new, we went to have a picnic at the nearest park we can find. Grilling was allowed in that area, and when he took his first bite from my grilled chicken steak recipe, our eyes met and fireworks just came out of nowhere. It can sound so clichè but we knew right there and then that we were twin souls. 🙂
One bite of my grilled chicken steak always makes him forget his worries and just savor its goodness. Want to know how to make it? Let’s hop onto it then!
Ingredients
- 180 to 220 grams of Chicken breast
- 1/8 tsp of Salt
- 1/4 tsp of White Pepper Powder
- 1 tbsp of Chili Sauce
- 2 tsp of Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp of Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup of Butter
- Vegetable Salad ingredients (optional)
- Fresh vegetables include:
- 1 pc of Bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 of 1 Lettuce stalk, sliced
- 1 pc of Tomato, sliced crosswise
- 2 pcs of Young Corn’s Ears
- 3 kinds of Leafy vegetables (leaves & stalk)
- 1/2 pc of Carrot, sliced lengthwise
- 1 ring of Pineapple, fresh
- Dressing sauce
- Fresh vegetables include:
Procedure
1. Cut out fatty skin
Remove the skin from both ends of the chicken breast that usually has most fatty tissues.
2. Pound chicken lightly
Lightly pound your chicken steak with a tenderizer mallet.
3. Mix in seasonings
Place your chicken steak in a bowl and add your salt, pepper, chili sauce, soy sauce, and olive oil. Mix them together by hand by flipping your chicken in the seasoning mixture.
4. Melt butter on grill
Drop in the butter and let it melt a little, careful not to burn it.
5. Grill chicken steak on butter
When the butter is melting halfway, mount your chicken steak on the grill and let it cook for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Remove from pan when done.
For the vegetables…
1. Grill vegetables
Allow the vegetables to be slightly cooked on the grill mixed with the chicken’s natural oil, including the pineapple ring.
2. Plate with chicken and enjoy
Plate your grilled chicken steak and then drizzle your favorite dressing on your vegetable salad. Serve and dig in!
