Get on That Farm Feeling and Try This Honey and Lime Compound Butter Recipe That Goes Perfectly When Grilling on the Cob
I got my own fair share of being a farm girl when I stayed in my granny’s before when I was a kid. We had a corn field and aside from her homemade pies, her grilled cobs are my absolute favorites.
And now that summer is here, I felt like this is the perfect time for my kids to get a lot of sunshine and try some grilled corn cobs in memory of my grand momma.
Let’s start grilling on the cob with this tasty Honey and Lime Compound Butter recipe!
Ingredients
- 3 pcs of Corn, peeled
- 1 stick of Salted Butter, softened at room temperature
- 1 tbsp of Honey
- Lime Juice, squeezed from 1 Lime
- 1 tsp of Chicken Rub
Special tips on the Chicken Rub…
- You can use your own Chicken Rub mix, but I also have a list of ingredients for the mix below just in case you don’t have one.
- To make the Chicken Rub we will just have to mix 1/3 of each of the ingredients here in a small bowl since we will only need 1 tsp for this recipe:
- 1/3 cup of Chili Powder
- 1/3 cup of Chili Powder
- 1/4 cup of Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp of Onion Powder
- 2 tbsp of Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp of Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tsp of Dry Cilantro
Procedure
1. Mix all ingredients except corn
Mash and mix together all your ingredients in a big mixing bowl.
2. Prepare the corn
Place your corn cobs on small sizes of foil. Cut them into sizes that are a bit longer than the ears of corn to give room for us to fold them later.
3. Apply mixture
Cover the corn on all sides with the mixture by using a spoon.
4. Wrap with foil
Fold the foil to cover the corn completely.
5. Grill
Cook them on the grill at about 350ºF for 15 minutes while rotating them every 4 to 5 minutes.
6. Serve and enjoy
Served best when hot.
