It’s almost time for school to start and once again we need to plan out our kids’ meals and snacks, then you ask: where do we begin? This easy-to-cook crock pot lasagna will energize your kids during school season and I’m sharing this perfect recipe with you! It may take a longer time to cook but the ingredients and preparation prior to that are only a few so you can multitask while waiting for it to be done. 😉 All you need are the basic spaghetti recipe ingredients, but this time, we’ll be using flat lasagna pasta in place of the spaghetti noodle type.
Perfect Back To School Crock Pot Lasagna For Your Kids | Cooking Lessons
When I started to learn how to cook this convenient crock pot lasagna recipe, it became a regular thing. This made my family requests for more of it as often as they could. And who am I to deprive them of such goodness? I simply cannot resist being bribed with hugs and kisses, I mean can you? 😉
But just last month, I hardly make these anymore. I focused on experimenting with new recipes that crock pot lasagna was just put to the side. So for the first day of school, I’m going to surprise the girls. Not only do they miss this but I know that in one way or another they will be a bit strained with the schedule adjustments, school, and all. So to keep them going, I think that a crock pot lasagna come back will be a perfect remedy for them. Let’s start learning this recipe and you give it a taste test tonight! Shall we?
Ingredients
- 4 lbs of Beef, grounded
- 3 jars of Tomato Sauce
- 6 cups of Mozzarella Cheese, grated
- 1 cup of Parmesan Cheese
- 1 box of Lasagna Pasta, half cooked
- 1/4 tsp of Salt
- 1/4 tsp of Pepper
Procedure
1. Cook ground beef
Cook ground beef on low heat in a pot.
2. Add tomato sauce
Remove from fire and drain excess oil before adding the pasta sauce. Add a little salt and pepper, mix well, and then taste. Adjust the amount of salt and pepper according to your kids’ preference.
3. Assemble lasagna pasta, sauce, and cheeses
Arrange 3 sets of layers in the following order: 3 scoops of sauce, lasagna noodles, more sauce, a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese.
4. Bake at low heat
Cover your lasagna and bake for 3 hours at low heat. That’s around 257°F.
5. Serve and indulge!
Slice into small squares and serve.

Crock pot lasagna can be served at any chosen time and your kids will still adore this pasta recipe. It’s like their favorite Mac and cheese recipe, only, it involves more sauce.
